Boosting Productivity in a Burgeoning Business District
IVCRL has been awarded the project for Design, Engineering, Finance, Construction, Operation and Maintenance of six Laning from Chengapalli start of Coimbatore bypass of NH 47 and four laning from end of Coimbatore Bypass to Tamilnadu / Kerala border on design, build, finance, operate and transfer (DBFOT) Toll basis. The project Highway stretch is a from Km 102/035 (Chengapalli) to Km 183/010(Walayar) on NH-47. The total length of the project highway is 54.775 kms.
Chengapalli is a village located on the NH 47 highway in Tirupur district, Tamil Nadu. The district is well developed and highly revenue yielding. It is famous for the unique ‘Tiruppur banian’ industry, Cotton market, and its special Butter. Tirupur city is the administrative headquarters of this district. IVRCL’s project of developing this stretch of highway, in this thriving district is the fulfillment of a long pending demand of textile entrepreneurs in Tirupur and its hinterland for smooth transport of their cargo to Kochi port.
The RTO Check post located in Walayar is the biggest one in Tamil Nadu, In terms of revenue to the State, it stands in the first position. Exporting timber also is a major occupation here. Bus service to Walayar is very frequent from both Palghat and Coimbatore. Both KSRTC and TNSTC operates buses via Walayar. All the buses from Palghat to Coimbatore have a stop at Walayar. IVRCL envisages early completion of the project, ushering in prosperous times ahead and accelerated development for the region.
