The Indore Gujarat MP Border stretch is a part of the Ahmedabad Indore section of NH -59 in the state of Madhya Pradesh. NH-59 starts from Ahmedabad in Gujarat and ends at Indore in Madhya Pradesh. It covers a distance of 350km and runs through the states of Gujarat and Madhya Pradesh. NHAI has envisaged upgradation of the existing project road from 2 lanes to 4 lanes from km 9.500 to km 171.100 (approx. 155.15km) in order to remove congestion The highway connects several important destinations such as Godhra, Jhabua, Rajgarh, Ghat and Bilod. NHAI has awarded the project to IVRCL Infrastructures & projects Limited. The project will establish better and faster transport networks and will provide an impetus to smoother movement of products and people between Gujarat and Indore. It will enable industrial and job development in smaller towns through access to markets. Finally, it will drive the nation's economic growth directly through construction and infrastructural growth.
